Musnad Ahmad 27:1974

Asbat narrated to us, Al-Hasan ibn Amr al-Fuqaymi narrated to us, from Abu Umamah al-Taymi, who said: I said to Ibn Umar: "We are merchants, so is there a Hajj for us?" He said: "Do you not circumambulate the House, come to al-Mu'arraf (Arafat), throw the pebbles, and shave your heads?" He said: We said: "Yes." Ibn Umar said: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and asked him about what you asked me, and he did not answer him until Gabriel, peace be upon him, descended upon him with this verse: {There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord} [Al-Baqarah: 198]. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, called him and said: "You are pilgrims (Hujjaj)."
