Musnad Ahmad 27:1992

Hammad ibn Khalid narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Nafi’, from Ibn Umar, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "The right of inheritance (al-wala') belongs to the one who emancipated."
