Musnad Ahmad 27:2015

He said: I read to my father, Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, 'Ikrimah ibn Khalid ibn al-'As al-Makhzumi narrated to me, he said: I arrived in Medina with a group of the people of Mecca, intending 'Umrah from it, and I met 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar. I said: We are a people from the people of Mecca, we arrived in Medina, and we have never performed Hajj, so may we perform 'Umrah from it? He said: Yes, and what prevents you from that? For the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, performed 'Umrah in all of his 'Umrahs before his Hajj, and we performed 'Umrah.
