Musnad Ahmad 27:257

Yahya narrated to us, from Isma'il, from Abu Hanzala: I asked Ibn Umar about the prayer while traveling. He said: "The prayer while traveling is two rak'ahs." We said: "We are in a state of security." He said: "The Sunnah of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
