Musnad Ahmad 27:272

Yahya narrated to us, from Ubaydullah, Nafi’ narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Umar, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Fever is from the scorching heat of Hell, so cool it with water."
