Hadith 27:299
Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abdullah, from Sa’d, the freed slave of Talhah, from Ibn ‘Umar, who said: I heard a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)—if I had not heard it except once or twice—until he counted seven times, but I have heard it more than that. He said: "There was a man named al-Kifl from the Children of Israel who would not refrain from any sin he committed. A woman came to him, and he gave her sixty dinars on the condition that he would have intercourse with her. When he sat between her legs as a man sits with his wife, she trembled and wept. He said: 'What makes you weep? Did I force you?' She said: 'No, but this is an act I have never done before, and it was only need that drove me to it.' He said: 'You would do this, and you have never done it before?' He then got up and said: 'Go, the dinars are yours.' Then he said: 'By Allah, al-Kifl will never disobey Allah again.' He died that very night, and in the morning, it was written on his door: 'Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, has forgiven al-Kifl.'"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
