Muhammad ibn Ubayd narrated to us, Asim—meaning Ibn Muhammad—narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If people knew what is in being alone, no one would ever travel alone at night."
