Musnad Ahmad 27:334

Waki’ narrated to us, Nafi’ ibn ‘Umar al-Jumahi narrated to us, from Sa’id ibn Hassan, from Ibn ‘Umar: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to encamp at ‘Arafah in Wadi Namirah." When al-Hajjaj killed Ibn al-Zubayr, he sent to Ibn ‘Umar: "At what hour did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) depart on this day?" He said: "When that time comes, we will depart." Al-Hajjaj sent a man to watch at what hour he would depart. When Ibn ‘Umar wanted to depart, he said: "Has the sun declined?" They said: "The sun has not declined." He said: "Has the sun declined?" They said: "It has not declined." When they said: "It has indeed declined," he departed.
