Musnad Ahmad 27:388

Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: I mentioned it to Ibn Shihab, and he said: Salim narrated to me that ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar used to do that. Then Safiyyah bint Abi ‘Ubayd narrated to him that ‘Aishah narrated to her that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to grant concessions to women regarding the leather socks (khuffayn).
