Musnad Ahmad 27:420

Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad—meaning Ibn Ishaq—informed us, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying upon this pulpit, while he was forbidding the people, when they entered into Ihram, from what is disliked for them: "Do not wear turbans, nor shirts, nor trousers, nor hooded cloaks (burnus), nor leather socks, unless one is compelled to wear them, in which case he should cut them below the ankles. And do not wear any garment touched by wars (a yellow dye) or saffron." He said: And I heard him forbidding women from wearing gloves and the niqab (face veil), and from garments touched by wars and saffron.
