Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Abd al-Razzaq ibn Umar al-Thaqafi, that he heard Ibn Shihab informing from Salim, from his father, who said: "I witnessed the Eid with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he prayed without an Adhan and without an Iqamah." He said: "Then I witnessed the Eid with Abu Bakr, and he prayed without an Adhan and without an Iqamah." He said: "Then I witnessed the Eid with Umar, and he prayed without an Adhan and without an Iqamah. Then I witnessed the Eid with Uthman, and he prayed without an Adhan and without an Iqamah."
