Musnad Ahmad 27:57

Isma'il narrated to us, Ayyub informed us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: "I knew that land used to be leased during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for what was on the irrigation channels and some straw, I do not know how much it was." And Ibn 'Umar used to lease his land during the time of Abu Bakr, the time of 'Umar, the time of 'Uthman, and the beginning of the governorship of Mu'awiyah. Then, when it was at the end of that, it reached him that Rafi' was narrating regarding that a prohibition from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). So he went to him, and I was with him, and he asked him. He said: "Yes, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the leasing of farms." So Ibn 'Umar abandoned it and would not lease it. When he was asked, he would say: "Ibn Khadij claims that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the leasing of farms."
