Musnad Ahmad 27:6

Hushaym narrated to us, from Ya‘la ibn ‘Ata’, from al-Walid ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Jurashi, from Ibn ‘Umar: That he passed by Abu Hurayrah while he was narrating from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "Whoever follows a funeral procession and prays over it, for him is a qirat; and if he witnesses its burial, for him are two qirats. The qirat is greater than Uhud." Ibn ‘Umar said to him: "O Abu Hurayrah, look at what you are narrating from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." Abu Hurayrah stood up and went with him until he brought him to ‘A’ishah. He said to her: "O Mother of the Believers, I adjure you by Allah, did you hear the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: 'Whoever follows a funeral procession and prays over it, for him is a qirat, and if he witnesses its burial, for him are two qirats'?" She said: "O Allah, yes." Abu Hurayrah said: "It was not the planting of date palms nor trading in the marketplaces that kept me from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I was only seeking from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a word he would teach me or a morsel he would feed me." Ibn ‘Umar said to him: "You, O Abu Hurayrah, were the most attached of us to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the most knowledgeable of us regarding his hadith."
