Musnad Ahmad 27:605

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Jabir, [who said]: I heard Salim ibn ‘Abd Allah narrating that he saw his father raise his hands when he said the takbir, and when he intended to bow, and when he raised his head from bowing. So I asked him about that, and he claimed that he saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, doing that. ‘Abd Allah ibn Ahmad said: I found these hadiths in my father’s book in his own handwriting, and it is up to the hadith of Ishaq ibn Yusuf al-Azraq.
