Musnad Ahmad 27:613

He said: I found in my father’s book: Yazid narrated to us, Shu’bah informed us, from ‘Abdullah ibn Dinar, from Ibn ‘Umar, that he used to pray upon his riding beast in whatever direction it faced. And he claimed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do that.
