Musnad Ahmad 27:639

Isma'il narrated to us, Sakhr ibn Juwayriyah narrated to me, from Nafi', who said: When the people deposed Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah, Ibn 'Umar gathered his children and his family, then he testified, then he said: "To proceed: We have pledged allegiance to this man upon the pledge of Allah and His Messenger. And I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'Indeed, for the treacherous person, a banner will be raised for him on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said: This is the treachery of so-and-so.' And indeed, among the greatest of treachery—other than associating partners with Allah the Exalted—is that a man pledges allegiance to a man upon the pledge of Allah and His Messenger, then he breaks his pledge. So let none of you depose Yazid, and let none of you involve himself in this matter, for it would be a severance between me and him."
