Hadith 27:717

Yahya narrated to us, from Ubaydullah, Nafi’ informed me, from Ibn Umar, that a man called out to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "What garments shall we wear when we enter into Ihram?" He said: "Do not wear shirts, nor turbans, nor hooded cloaks (burnus), nor trousers, nor leather socks, unless one does not find sandals." And Yahya said once: "Unless a man has no sandals, then let him cut them below the ankles, and do not wear any garment touched by wars (a type of dye) or saffron."

حدثنا يحيى، عن عبيد الله، أخبرني نافع، عن ابن عمر، أن رجلا نادى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ما نلبس من الثياب إذا أحرمنا قال: " لا تلبسوا القمص، ولا العمائم، ولا البرانس، ولا السراويلات، ولا الخفين إلا أحد لا يجد نعلين " وقال يحيى مرة: " إلا أن يكون رجل ليس له نعلان فليقطعهما أسفل من الكعبين، ولا يلبس ثوبا مسه ورس أو زعفران "
