Musnad Ahmad 27:763

Waki’ narrated to us, Aban ibn Abdullah al-Bajali narrated to us, from Abu Bakr ibn Hafs, from Ibn Umar, that he went out on the day of Eid and did not pray before it nor after it. He mentioned that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did that.
