Musnad Ahmad 27:828

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Alqama, from Razin al-Ahmari, from Ibn 'Umar, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, then another man married her, closed the door, lowered the curtain, and removed the head covering, then divorced her before having intercourse with her. Does she become lawful for her first husband? He said: "No, until he tastes her honey (has sexual intercourse with her)."
