Musnad Ahmad 27:861

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Malik, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "He performed the cutting [of the hand] for a shield whose price was three dirhams."
