'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Uqbah ibn Hurayth, who said: I heard Ibn 'Umar saying: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade the *jar* (earthenware jar), the *duba'* (gourd), and the *muzaffat* (pitch-coated vessel). And he commanded that *nabidh* (a drink made from soaked dates or raisins) be prepared in *asqiyah* (leather skins)."
