Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1111
Al-Zubayri and Aswad—the meaning is the same—said: Sharik narrated to us, from Simak, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, bought [goods] from a caravan that had arrived, and he made a profit of [a number of] awaqi (ounces of silver). He then distributed them among the widows of [the clan of] Abd al-Muttalib. Then he said: "I do not buy a sale for which I do not have the price."
حدثنا الزبيري، وأسود المعنى قالا: حدثنا شريك، عن سماك، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، قال: ابتاع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من عير أقبلت، فربح أواقي، فقسمها بين أرامل عبد المطلب، ثم قال: " لا أبتاع بيعا ليس عندي ثمنه "
