Musnad Ahmad 25:1119

Rab'i ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Zayd ibn Aslam narrated to us, from Ibn Wa'lah, from Ibn Abbas: That a man went out while wine was still lawful, and he gifted a waterskin of wine to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He approached, leading it on a camel, until he found the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sitting. He said, "What is this with you?" He said, "A waterskin of wine I have gifted to you." He said, "Do you know that Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, has forbidden it?" He said, "No." He said, "Indeed, Allah has forbidden it." The man turned to the one leading the camel and spoke to him about something between the two of them. He [the Prophet] said, "What did you say to him?" He said, "I ordered him to sell it." He said, "Indeed, He who forbade drinking it has forbidden selling it." He said, so he ordered the ties of the waterskin to be opened, and it poured out into the dust. I looked at it in the valley, and there was nothing left in it.
