Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1152
Abdullah ibn al-Walid and Mu'ammal narrated to us—the meaning being the same—they said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn Abbas: "The Muslims captured a man from the great leaders of the polytheists and killed him. They asked to sell his corpse, but the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade them." Mu'ammal said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade them from selling his corpse."
حدثنا عبد الله بن الوليد، ومؤمل، المعنى، قالا: حدثنا سفيان، عن ابن أبي ليلى، عن الحكم، عن مقسم، عن ابن عباس: " أن المسلمين أصابوا رجلا من عظماء المشركين، فقتلوه، فسألوا أن يشتروا جيفته فنهاهم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال مؤمل: فنهاهم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يبيعوا جيفته "
