Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1197
Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, al-Awza'i narrated to us, he said: It reached me that 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah said: That he heard Ibn 'Abbas informing: That a man sustained a wound during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then he had a wet dream, so he was ordered to perform ghusl (full ritual bath), and he died. When that reached the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he said: "They killed him, may Allah kill them! Was not the cure for ignorance the question?"
حدثنا أبو المغيرة، حدثنا الأوزاعي، قال: بلغني أن عطاء بن أبي رباح، قال: إنه سمع ابن عباس، يخبر: أن رجلا أصابه جرح في عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم أصابه احتلام، فأمر بالاغتسال، فمات، فبلغ ذلك النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: " قتلوه قتلهم الله، ألم يكن شفاء العي السؤال " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
