Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, who said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Abis, who said: I heard Ibn ‘Abbas say: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, went out on the day of ‘Eid. Were it not for my position with him, I would not have witnessed it due to my young age. He came to the house of Kathir ibn al-Salt, and he prayed two rak’ahs. He said: Then he delivered a sermon and commanded charity. He said: And he did not mention an adhan or an iqamah.
