Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1372
Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Amr ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Abu Ma'bad, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "A woman shall not travel except with a mahram (unmarriageable male relative) accompanying her." A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "I have enlisted for such-and-such military expedition, and my wife is going for Hajj." He said: "Go back, and perform Hajj with her."
حدثنا يحيى، عن ابن جريج، قال: حدثني عمرو بن دينار، عن أبي معبد، عن ابن عباس، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا تسافر امرأة إلا ومعها ذو محرم " وجاء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجل فقال: إني اكتتبت في غزوة كذا وكذا، وامرأتي حاجة، قال: " فارجع، فحج معها "
