Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1393
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is not appropriate for anyone to say: 'I am better than Yunus ibn Matta'—he attributed him to his father—'he committed a sin, then his Lord chose him.'"
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا معمر، عن قتادة، عن أبي العالية، عن ابن عباس، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لا ينبغي لأحد أن يقول: إني خير من يونس بن متى - نسبه إلى أبيه -، أصاب ذنبا، ثم اجتباه ربه "
