Musnad Ahmad 25:1402
Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 25:1402
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, he said: 'Ata' informed me that Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, the maternal aunt of Ibn 'Abbas, passed away. He said: So I went with him to Sarif. He said: So he praised God and extolled Him, then he said: "The Mother of the Believers, do not disturb her, and do not shake her. Be gentle." "For the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, had nine wives. He used to divide [his time] among eight, and he would not divide for the ninth," meaning Safiyyah bint Huyayy. 'Ata' said: "She was the last of them to die; she died in Medina."
