Musnad Ahmad 25:1403

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Ibn Khuthaym, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from Dhakwan, the freed slave of 'Aishah: That he sought permission for Ibn 'Abbas to see 'Aishah while she was dying, and with her was her nephew, 'Abdullah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman. He said, "This is Ibn 'Abbas seeking permission to see you, and he is among the best of your sons." She said, "Leave me be, away from Ibn 'Abbas and his praise." 'Abdullah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman said to her, "He is a reciter of the Book of Allah and a jurist in the religion of Allah, so permit him to greet you and bid you farewell." She said, "Permit him if you wish." He said, "So he permitted him." Ibn 'Abbas entered, greeted her, and sat down. He said, "Rejoice, O Mother of the Believers! For by Allah, there is nothing between you and the removal of all harm, fatigue—or he said: illness—and meeting the beloved ones, Muhammad and his party—or he said: his companions—except that your soul departs from your body." She said, "And what else?" Ibn 'Abbas said, "You were the most beloved of the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to him, and he did not love anything but what was pure. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, sent down your exoneration from above seven heavens, so there is no mosque on earth except that it is recited therein during the hours of the night and the hours of the day. Your necklace fell at al-Abwa', and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remained in the place, and the people with him, searching for it—or he said: seeking it—until the people reached the morning without water. Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, sent down: 'Then betake yourselves to pure soil' [An-Nisa': 43], the verse. In that was a concession for the people in general because of you. By Allah, you are indeed blessed." She said, "Leave me be, O Ibn 'Abbas, from this. For by Allah, I wish I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight."
