Musnad Ahmad 25:141

Isma'il narrated to us, Ali ibn Zayd informed us, he said: Umar ibn Abi Harmalah narrated to me, from Ibn Abbas, who said: I and Khalid ibn al-Walid entered with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to Maymunah bint al-Harith. She said: "Shall we not feed you from a gift that Umm 'Afiq gifted to us?" He said: So two roasted dabb lizards were brought. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, spat [out of dislike]. Khalid said to him: "It is as if you find it repulsive?" He said: "Yes." She said: "Shall I not give you to drink from milk that was gifted to us?" He said: "Yes." He said: So a vessel of milk was brought, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, drank. I was on his right, and Khalid was on his left. He said to me: "The drink is yours, and if you wish, you may prefer Khalid with it." I said: "I would not prefer anyone over myself regarding your leftovers." He said: "Whoever Allah feeds food, let him say: 'O Allah, bless it for us and feed us something better than it.' And whoever Allah gives milk to drink, let him say: 'O Allah, bless it for us and increase us in it,' for there is nothing that suffices in the place of food and drink other than milk."
