Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith ibn ‘Ayyash ibn Abi Rabi’ah, from Hakim ibn Hakim ibn ‘Abbad ibn Hunayf, from Nafi’ ibn Jubayr ibn Mut’im, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Gabriel (peace be upon him) led me in prayer at the House (the Kaaba) twice. Then he said: 'O Muhammad, this is your time and the time of the prophets before you.' He prayed the Dhuhr prayer with him when the shadow was the length of a sandal strap. And he prayed the Maghrib prayer with him when the fasting person breaks his fast, and food and drink become permissible."
