Musnad Ahmad 25:1513

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Malik, from Makhramah ibn Sulayman, from Kurayb, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: I spent the night at the house of my maternal aunt, Maymunah. I said: "I will certainly watch the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." I placed a pillow lengthwise for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he slept along its length, and his family slept. Then he stood up in the middle of the night, or before it, or after it, and began to wipe the sleep from his face. Then he recited the last ten verses of Al 'Imran until he finished them. Then he stood up and went to a hanging waterskin, took it, and performed ablution. Then he stood to pray, so I stood and did as he had done. Then I came and stood by his side. He placed his hand upon my head, then took hold of my ear and began to twist it. Then he prayed two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, and then he performed the Witr.
