Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1543
Bahz narrated to us, Abd al-Warith narrated to us, al-Ja'd, the owner of the jewelry, Abu Uthman, narrated to us, Abu Raja' narrated to us, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, in what he narrates from his Lord (Mighty and Majestic is He): "Indeed, Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) recorded the good deeds and the evil deeds, then He clarified that. So, whoever intends a good deed but does not perform it, Allah records it for him with Him as one complete good deed. If he performs it, it is recorded for him as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times over, up to many multiples. And if he intends an evil deed but does not perform it, Allah records it for him with Him as one complete good deed. But if he performs it, it is recorded for him as only one evil deed."
حدثنا بهز، حدثنا عبد الوارث، حدثنا الجعد، صاحب الحلى أبو عثمان، حدثنا أبو رجاء، عن ابن عباس، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فيما يروي عن ربه عز وجل، قال: " إن الله عز وجل كتب الحسنات، والسيئات، ثم بين ذلك، فمن هم بحسنة فلم يعملها، كتبها الله له عنده حسنة كاملة، فإن عملها، كتبت له عشر حسنات، إلى سبع مائة ضعف، إلى أضعاف كثيرة، وإن هو هم بسيئة فلم يعملها، كتبها الله له عنده حسنة كاملة، فإن عملها كتبت له سيئة واحدة "
