Musnad Ahmad 25:1559

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Hajjaj ibn Artah, from Husayn ibn Abdullah, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted a concession regarding dyed garments, as long as they did not contain *nafd* (saffron/yellow dye) or *rad’* (red/safflower dye)."
