Hadith 25:1566
Abu Kamil narrated to us, Ibrahim bin Sa'd narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the most generous of people in doing good, and he was at his most generous during Ramadan when Gabriel would meet him. Gabriel used to meet him every night in Ramadan until it ended, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would recite the Quran to him. When Gabriel met him, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was more generous in doing good than the sent wind.
حدثنا أبو كامل، حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد، حدثنا ابن شهاب، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة، عن ابن عباس، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أجود الناس بالخير، وكان أجود ما يكون في رمضان، حين يلقاه جبريل، وكان يلقاه جبريل كل ليلة في رمضان، حتى ينسلخ، يعرض عليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم القرآن، فإذا لقيه جبريل، كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أجود بالخير من الريح المرسلة "
