Musnad Ahmad 25:1571

Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 25:1571

Abu Kamil and Yunus narrated to us, they said: Hammad narrated to us, from Ammar ibn Abi Ammar, from Ibn Abbas: That the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to deliver the sermon leaning against a tree trunk. When the pulpit was made, he moved to it, and the trunk moaned. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to it and embraced it, and it became quiet. He said: "Had I not embraced it, it would have moaned until the Day of Resurrection."
