Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1602
'Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr narrated to us, they said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: I heard 'Ata', he said: I heard Ibn Abbas, he said: Ibn Bakr said: Then I heard him after that - meaning 'Ata' - he said: I heard Ibn Abbas saying: There was a sheep - or a domestic animal - belonging to one of the wives of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and it died. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Why did you not make use of its hide, or its skin?"
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، وابن بكر، قالا: أخبرنا ابن جريج، قال: سمعت عطاء، قال: سمعت ابن عباس، قال: ابن بكر: ثم سمعته بعد - يعني عطاء -، قال: سمعت ابن عباس يقول: كانت شاة - أو داجنة - لإحدى نساء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فماتت، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " هلا استمتعتم بإهابها، أو مسكها "
