Musnad Ahmad 25:1628

Yazid narrated to us, Sufyan ibn Sa'id informed us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abis, who said: I heard Ibn 'Abbas, and he was asked: "Did you witness the Eid with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said: "Yes, and were it not for my kinship with him, I would not have witnessed it due to my young age. He prayed two rak'ahs, then he delivered a sermon, then he came to the landmark that was by the house of Kathir ibn al-Salt. He exhorted the women and reminded them, and he commanded them to give charity." They reached toward their ears and their necks and gave that in charity. He said: "Then they handed it to Bilal."
