Hadith 25:1642

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj and Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: I heard Ata’ say: I heard Ibn Abbas say: I heard the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: "If the son of Adam had a valley of wealth, he would love to have another one like it, and nothing fills the interior of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents." Ibn Abbas then said: "I do not know if it is from the Quran or not."

حدثنا روح، حدثنا ابن جريج، وعبد الله بن الحارث، عن ابن جريج، قال: سمعت عطاء، يقول: سمعت ابن عباس، يقول: سمعت نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول : " لو أن لابن آدم، واديا مالا لأحب أن له إليه مثله، ولا يملأ نفس ابن آدم إلا التراب، والله يتوب على من تاب " فقال ابن عباس: " فلا أدري أمن القرآن هو أم لا؟ " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
