Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1647
Rawh narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Hafsah narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah ibn Utbah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: Sa'd ibn Ubadah asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, for a legal opinion regarding a vow upon his mother who had died before she could fulfill it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Fulfill it on her behalf."
حدثنا روح، حدثنا محمد بن أبي حفصة، حدثنا ابن شهاب، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة، عن ابن عباس، قال: استفتى سعد بن عبادة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في نذر على أمه توفيت قبل أن تقضيه؟ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اقضه عنها "
