Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:165
Yahya narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, ‘Ata’ narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Abbas, that a pet goat of Maymunah died. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Why did you not make use of its hide? Why did you not tan it? For its tanning is its slaughtering."
حدثنا يحيى، حدثنا ابن جريج، حدثنا عطاء، عن ابن عباس، أن داجنة لميمونة ماتت، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ألا انتفعتم بإهابها، ألا دبغتموه فإنه ذكاته "
