Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:1658
Rawh narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, ‘Ikrimah narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was sent [as a Prophet] at forty years of age. He remained in Makkah for thirteen years, receiving revelation. Then he was commanded to emigrate, so he emigrated for ten years. He died while he was sixty-three years old, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
حدثنا روح، حدثنا هشام، حدثنا عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، قال: " بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأربعين سنة، فمكث بمكة ثلاث عشرة سنة يوحى إليه، ثم أمر بالهجرة، فهاجر عشر سنين، فمات وهو ابن ثلاث وستين، صلى الله عليه وسلم "
