Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: Salamah ibn Kuhayl narrated to me, he said: I heard Abu al-Hakam say: I asked Ibn Abbas about the *nabidh* (fermented drink) of the clay jar, and he said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade the *nabidh* of the clay jar and the gourd." And he said: "Whoever is pleased to forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, then let him forbid *nabidh*."
