Hafs ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, Hajjaj ibn Artah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from his father, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would not fight a people until he had invited them."
