Musnad Ahmad 25:238

Waki’ narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn Abbas, who said: I wish that people would reduce [their bequests] from a third to a fourth, because the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The third is much," or "The third is great."
