Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:272
Yazid narrated to us, he said: Hisham informed us, and Ibn Ja'far said: Hisham narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was sent—or the Quran was revealed to him—when he was forty years old. He remained in Makkah for thirteen years, and in Al-Madinah for ten years. He said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) died when he was sixty-three years old."
حدثنا يزيد، قال: أخبرنا هشام، وابن جعفر، قال: حدثنا هشام، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، قال: " بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، - أو أنزل عليه القرآن - وهو ابن أربعين سنة، فمكث بمكة ثلاث عشرة سنة، وبالمدينة عشر سنين، قال: فمات رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وهو ابن ثلاث وستين "
