Musnad Ahmad 25:317

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Jabir, from al-Sha‘bi, from Ibn ‘Abbas: "That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when he was cupped, he was cupped on the two jugular veins (al-akhda‘ayn)." He said: "So he called a young boy belonging to the Banu Bayadah, and he cupped him. He gave the cupper his wage: a mudd and a half." He said: "And he spoke to his masters, so they reduced half a mudd from him, for he owed them two mudds."
