Musnad Ahmad 25:32

Isma'il narrated to us, Abu al-Tayyah informed us, from Musa ibn Salamah, from Ibn Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent eighteen sacrificial camels with a man, and he commanded him regarding them with his command. He departed, then returned to him and said: "What do you see if something of them becomes unable to walk (due to illness or injury) upon us?" He said: "Slaughter it, then dip its sandal in its blood, then place it on its side, and do not eat from it yourself, nor anyone from the people of your company." Abdullah said: My father said: Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah did not hear from Abu al-Tayyah except this hadith.
