Musnad Ahmad 25:320

Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Jamrah al-Duba'i, he said: I performed Tamattu' (combining Hajj and Umrah), and some people forbade me from that. So I came to Ibn Abbas and asked him about that, and he commanded me to do it. He said: Then I went to the House (the Ka'bah) and slept. Then someone came to me in my sleep and said: "An accepted Umrah and a righteous Hajj." He said: So I came to Ibn Abbas and informed him of what I had seen. He said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar! The Sunnah of Abu al-Qasim, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." And he said: "Regarding the sacrificial animal (Hady), it is a camel, or a cow, or a sheep, or a share in the blood (a portion of a larger animal)." Abdullah said: "Shu'bah did not narrate anything from Abu Jamrah except for one (hadith), and Abu Jamrah is more reliable than Abu Hamzah."
